Jean Booth

Jean Booth is an experienced Registered Nurse who brings her years of Occupational Health work experience, her enthusiasm, and her international perspective to the OHNIG executive.

Originally trained as a Registered Nurse in Johannesburg, South Africa, Jean went on to complete a diploma in Midwifery and certification in Occupational Health. She gained a variety of experiences in Occupational Health working in manufacturing environments, banks, airport food services, and for Nestle's head office in Johannesburg. She also worked at various hospitals for a short period of time in the obstetrics units and for South African blood transfusion services.

Arriving in Canada in 1997, Jean worked first in disability management and then as a Community Nurse in Dufferin County. She has worked as a diabetes educator for 5 years part time while working at a manufacturing plant part time. She recently worked as an occupational health nurse full time at a hospital.
Jean presently works in her own business providing occupational health nursing services including CPR to companies.

She continues to update her qualifications, and is currently completing the Occupational Health Nursing Graduate Certificate, through St. Lawrence College and has one more module to do.
